- A Drum Request is your one-stop workflow in Clean Harbors’ system to order drums, schedule pickups, and manage the entire lifecycle of containerized waste, all with full traceability and documentation.
- Go through the guide for a better understanding of how to initiate a Drum Service through the portal.
- A Bulk Request in Clean Harbors’ system refers to the process of arranging pickup or disposal of large volumes of waste—typically in bulk liquid, sludge, semi-solid materials, or large batches of solids—using specialized equipment instead of standard drum/container collection.
- Go through the guide for a better understanding of how to initiate a Bulk request through the portal.
- Waste inventory refers to the real-time record and tracking of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in drum or lab pack containers.
- Create new containers of waste or view historical containers via the Waste Inventory workbench.
- Our seamless integration into customer sites delivers insight into opportunities for process improvement and cost savings, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Drum Request lets you select from Profiles assigned to drum containers, whereas Bulk Request gives you access only to Bulk Profiles.
- Drum pickups can be scheduled easily through online systems. In contrast, Bulk Requests usually require custom scheduling due to the logistical complexity and site-specific conditions.
- Drum Request is ideal for small to moderate waste volumes, typically using ≤55-gallon containers. In contrast, Bulk Request is suited for handling large volumes ranging from hundreds to thousands of gallons or cubic yards.
- Drum Request involves the use of standard drums, lab packs, or pails. Bulk Request, on the other hand, uses larger containers like frac tanks, vacuum trucks, roll-off boxes, tankers, or dewatering boxes.
- Drum Request is commonly used for routine pickups from small generators such as labs, maintenance shops, or healthcare facilities. Bulk Request is designed for more complex needs like industrial process waste, remediation projects, tank cleanouts, and large-scale cleanups.
- With Drum Request, the waste is typically pre-profiled and assigned to each drum container. Bulk Request often requires site-specific sampling or laboratory analysis to create accurate waste profiles.
- For Drum Requests, each container is picked up individually, inventoried, and tracked through the portal. Bulk Requests involve pumping, scooping, or loading waste into mobile units and do not rely on container-by-container tracking.
- Drum waste generally follows standardized disposal methods such as incineration, landfill, fuel blending, or recycling. Bulk waste may go through varied processes including wastewater treatment, dewatering, or incineration depending on the type.
- Drum Request provides access to manifests, drum labels, certificates, and inventory reports through the portal. Bulk Request includes detailed manifest and disposal documentation, which is often more tailored to the specific project.
- Drum Request works best for labs, small businesses, and routine waste generators. Bulk Request is a better fit for high-volume environments like factories, treatment plants, or large-scale remediation projects.
